Our Mission

The purpose of Charity Gamers is to get gamers involved in making a difference in the world.  Through our organization, gamers use video games to channel positive effects into their communities.  We are here to raise money for various charities through friendly and professional competitive local and online events.  We encourage every gamer to get involved as every individual can make a difference.

About Us

Charity Gamers was first an idea to make a difference using video games. Ryan Hemhauser lost his Mom to Lung Cancer when he was 16. After that Ryan was devastated and went to the one thing that made him happy, Halo 2. He would play for hours and hours. In till one day when his cousin said “Get off that darn Xbox and do something productive” Now Ryan didn’t want to get off the Xbox but did want to do something productive. After that Ryan gathered some friends and organized a Halo 3 tournament in honor of his Mom. They raised 1600 dollars for the American Cancer Society. After this Ryan created Charity Gamers. Charity Gamers were gamers that wanted to make a difference in the world. We set up more tournaments, we put teams into other tournaments all in the hopes to make a difference in the world doing what we do best, Play video games.

Charity Gamers has now turned into a group of gamers that organize events to raise money for different charities with the help of the gaming world.
